https://t.me/joinchat/PslP2hcMzuKY-We0EFaE9QAriel Leonardo Fernandez (HARDINEROS)https://www.blogger.com/profile/01347126421743280965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5133653328813726791.post-69357401946605576762013-12-15T03:38:00.966-05:002013-12-15T03:38:00.966-05:00We can only guess as to the exact reasons as to wh...We can only guess as to the exact reasons as to why the use of v3-messaging is in decline. See my 2012 blogpost on the subject: renovate HL7v3 , in which I argue that although v3 could be fixed to lead to higher adoption, those fixes are of such an enormous impact on both the organization as well as the standard that they are unlikely to be done.

I agree with your assessment however that a lot of good things have come out of the v3 effort, and as such the work of the many contributors has not been in vain, Without v3 there would not have been a lot of developments, inclusive of the start of the work on FHIR, which (long term) should be seen as a v3 (and CDA) replacement.
rene.spronk@ringholm.comhttp://www.ringholm.com/column/rs_last_en.htmnoreply@blogger.com
